*hack, hack, wheeze*

Just a quick post before I go to sleep, mostly to apologize for not keeping up my usual posting habits, This is partially due to it being the end of a half-term at college, so of course this means that there's 4 assignments due in and 3 more to be set to do over the "holiday" week.

And partially because I've contracted the common cold, or perhaps swallowed a medium size die-cast train, that would explain how my throat feels right now!

Truth be told as far as colds go its pretty pathetic when it comes to the running nose, more of a light jog, or even a brisk walk! Sneeze wise this illness doesn't even try to compete I think I've sneezed twice, and I'm not even sure that was due to the cold (Sneezing in a chemistry lab that 16 year olds have been in isn't necessarily a sign of illness, people who think its amusing to press the emergency power cut button before leaving can certainly find ways to amuse themselves with poisonous chemicals)! But when it comes to sore throat, bring out the blue ribbon, there's no competition, this is the winner!

Listeners to the BRK podcast know I don't have a strong voice at the best of times, but right now I can't guarantee at any given hour whether I have a voice at all, I seem to be rotating in ability to speak, much to the amusement of everyone around me, and naturally with being unable to speak I've been unable to write this blog... because I use voice to text software... sure... that's a convincing enough excuse right?

So while were on my RL... its valentines day coming up, and I have big plans. Not romantic plans, well not really even my plans, more Danielle's plans truth be told, but plans and big.. well medium sized, about 8-9 foot, so bigger than me, but not bigger than both of us put together. I know its a cliche to say this on valentines day, but size isn't everything, so you can all stop being bogged down in the size of my plans!

So a couple of single women on valentines day are doing something very stereotypical, we're proving we don't need men by using power tools to build things, because that's the only thing men have ever proven useful for in the history of the universe, and lets face it women can do it better since we know how to measure and think!

I figure the BM rebuff will have gotten rid of half my readers, and this will have gotten rid of the male part that remained! Right, time to watch sex in the city and break out the strawberry flavoured drinks which are considerably more proof than the existence of god, and only slightly less proof than the existence of earth!

I'll try and remember to ask for some photos so I can show you all our dabbling with carpentry, I have to say considering my friends rather... direct approach to design (blue prints? I think I might have a sketch on a hanky somewhere...), its coming out very well.

Since your appearance on BRKs blog, I've always come over to read yours (its even bookmarked :P) and I never even changed out of BM... SV has always interested me so I thought I come and find out from someone who knew more about it... as I said I never changed, and what with the duel spec coming out I'll probably even have Questions to ask you soon *gasp*:P

P.S. I'm male and I'm staying :P

Have to admit SV is quite fun and will hang on to it as long as it remains so.
although i do miss the red pet :)

i really hope Blizz manage to give us some balance. It would be nice to choose build based on preference and play-style without loosing utility (dps)

Should you have question regarding carpentry, feel free to ask. Been a construction/carpenter for years....

And I agree, while I've def stayed BM ever since Wotlk, I still enjoy your blog. :-)

I've always been survival, even back in 2.0 WoW, so I'm not going anywhere near those Beastly specs anytime soon!
Oh, and yeah, I'm one of those male types who will be sticking around the blog also.

For the throat, try some lukewarm water with honey and a shot of lemon juice. Bring your throat right around to health post-haste!

Pictures of power tool use are a must! I doubt you'll lose much male readership. Married little red headed dwarfs aren't really my first pick for a valentine :D

BM debuff? Not gonna work.

Hope you feel better soon. I have managed to miss getting a cold or flu this season. Better luck than good, I always say.

Hope ya feel better soon Lienna.

As for BM's and males leaving...

I was a BM hunter before the nerf, and tried survival because I always found MM too cliche for my tastes. Most of my research (95%) on "how to survival" comes from you. Honestly, I love it WAY better than BM and don't plan on reverting back to a shot rotation of [steady shot, repeat]. Thanks again for the help there; shooting things with dynamite-clad arrows is fun stuff!!!

BTW- I'm male (though female toon) but not planning on leaving this site (actually it's one of my tabbed homepages), but then again I love strawberry ice cream and S&C too... meh.

So, hope you get better soon, thanks for the help, and don't despair about readers leaving... BM is a lesser class of the greater class of hunters.

PS- Sry for the long comment, and you're right about men... I let my female friends figure out complicated stuff while I add commentary, lol.

Thanks for all the get well soons! As of today I'm feeling a lot better, (though still not right, and I've coughed up a few things that would get a ribbon in a modern art gallery!)

I actually think the specs are about right now, ironic that blizz fixes things properly when they don't use a ptr to test it, while on the last ptr everyone said survival was overbuffed and BM overnerfed, but they still ignored us.

Anyway at the moment BM does less damage, but it is a little easier to play (less complicated rotation and far better at keeping their pet up) so I think its about right.

Of course 3.1 has new talent tree changes coming fresh to mess everything up (that MM bleed effect looks *insane* for a start)

I feel like I'm at hunter anonymous... I'm specced MM, and I too came over as a result of your visit with the dwarf, and I too have stuck around since my first visit.

For one, I'm an equal opportunity hunter. It's interesting to learn about the other aspects of our class, especially the ones that I'm not as familiar with. Even though I've never specced out of marks, I see a hunter as a hunter, I don't care what spec you are... /salute.

I even feel the tiniest pain of regret when that NE hunter in Wintergrasp decides to attack me and my pet and I have to retaliate in full (I much prefer to spend my ammo on gnomes). Which leads me to number two reason why I regularly visit, you roll with THE superior faction! ;)

Seriously though, number three (and probably most important to you) reason I visit often, your blog is enjoyable to read. I love your subject matter (even the non-hunter stuff), your writing, and your humor.

And it's good to read that you're feeling better!
