I always said that the best strategy for nerf-avoidance is to play all classes. My main's a druid, but right after expansion, when it became obvious that BM hunters were the bee's knees, I couldn't resist the temptation to wipe the floor with my warlock IRL friends for a few weeks (cause Bliz broke Hurricane, I respecced Resto and couldn't do it with my main anymore:)
