To be a bit more clear, the reference is from a BBC show in the early noughties. I think they made an american version, but not sure if they had the same line in it.
to be fair, mr Izzard does have a lot of "So.. yeah. " in his stand-up routines. :)
Beyond that, I'm stumped. I had thought Blackadder also (vaguely) but that was well before the "naughties" wasn't it now. :)
I am lost as well, and if this is in reference to British humor, I know I don't stand a chance.

Well since there was an hour and a half between your first google attempt and you posting the correct answer I'd say you might, just might, have cheated a little.
