Patch 3.1:- to remember

These notes are actually from the ptr, as the live servers aren't up yet in Europe, apologies for any of blizzards late changes.

• Black arrow is good, therefore resourcefulness is good, black arrow is around 5k damage unbuffed just from the dot, in a 4 minute fight without resourcefulness that's 8 black arrows, 40000 damage for 2400 mana. Add resourcefulness and you instead get 9 black arrows, 45000 damage for 1080 mana!
• Hunting party now only really needs 1 talent point, if you spend more than one then your paying 1 talent point for 1% agility, not that great.
• Sniper training, learn how to use it! you need to stand still for 6 seconds every 15 seconds to keep it up, so no you can't keep it up during the safety dance, but you can keep it up in most fights with a moderate-high level of movement!
• Sniper training can be active before the fight, stand still for 6 seconds before the pull and you have the 15 second damage buff!
• Steady shot glyph is out, explosive shot glyph is in!
• Other glyphs are the same
• Except that you now have to buy a second set of them for your secondary talent tree!
• Pet stable access anywhere! This is good with a capital GOO!
• The light blue wasps from Sholezar are now the same size as the firefly wasps, strangely the dark blue was is unaffected (not seen the orange one yet)
• I'm thinking of this talent and glyph set up
• I can now carry 28,000 bullets, the ammo vendor is complaining that I never visit him anymore, I think I may need to call off our relationship!

Nasty Nancy nicked a... aliterations suck

I loaded up wow today, for the first time in ages, I stared at the character screen for a bit... then I stared at the character creation screen for a while, then I loaded petopia and had a browse! And then then it all became... murky, I closed wow, mumbled incoherently about the 3.1 patch downloader coming on, then loaded wowmodelviewer and had a browse on that...

I think I want to be... well... evil, I've never really done it before, all of my characters for RP have been fairly noble, if from their own races viewpoint. I've never roleplayed someone whose spitefull, mean-spirited callous and cruel, and I think I'm missing out. I'm a kind person in real life, I help people, I enjoy it, perhaps I need to make myself an avatar of cruelty anddestruction before I go insane?

The thing is I'm not very good at being nasty, about the most evil thing I'll ever do to people is to ignore them, and thats not really mean... its borderline rude!

I'm kind of stumped for an idea though, I've had a few ideas for potential pets that all look quite mean-spirited, but as for what race to be I'm not sure, probably my favourite choice would be trolls, they used to be very evil (the non-horde ones still are) practicing voodoo, canabalism and worshoping the loa gods who are generally unpleasent.

Anyway I'm just rambling to myself really, only this time I wrote it on my blog... again, you must all think I'm crazy, I do, and so does the lepricorn king, although I don't think he counts, he's an illegal immegrant afterall!

Easter preperation

Today I have been making vodka jelly, a sure fire treat for Easter night, and to make them that bit more festive they are setting inside hollowed out creme eggs! The contents of the creme eggs has been put into a larger chocolate egg making the worlds largest creme egg! which will, on Sunday, be converted into a milkshake.

In case anyone is mad enough to do this themselves here's how to do it...

Ingredients
125ml vodka
67g (half a pack) orange jelly
12 creme eggs
1 Easter egg

1) Cut up the jelly and dissolve it in 75ml boiling water.
2) Add 100ml cold water, let the mixture cool a little (else the vodka will evaporate)
3) And the vodka, to make up 300ml.
4) Cut the top off a creme egg and hollow out with the back end of a spoon
5) Place the removed fondant into a medium sized Easter egg
6) Continue until all 12 eggs are hollowed
7) Pour jelly mix into creme eggs, replace the tops of the eggs and leave in the fridge overnight to set.
8) Enjoy responsibly, and remember Don't eat and drive!

You will probably have a it of jelly mix left over, oh and I suggest you get a few more than 12 creme eggs as you tend to get 1 in a dozen with a hole in the bottom.

Oh and remember kids, vodka is for adults only, even if its in jelly form, this mixture is not for people under the local alcohol consumption age as appropriate!

I mean lets face it underage drinkers would probably love this, but they also love vodka neat, so they probably wouldn't go to all the trouble, leave the fun to the grown ups!

There are some malicious rumors that this us a WoW hunter blog, don't believe the lies that are being fed to you by the media, rise up and rovolt against those who would chain you to such fascist beliefs!

Pets of the future

Expect to see these pets around a lot more after the coming patch:-

Mazzranache: everyone favorite pink tallstrider, people tamed this when it was absolutely awfull just for the prestige of having a maxx leveled bright pink bird, nothing is more scary on the dark and forboding battlefields of WoW than an angry flamingo!

Brown bats: is it a bird? is it a plane? No its a rodent with wings! you have to tip your hats at bats, being the only mammel to actually get off its arse and learn to fly, sure the foo fighters sung about it, but the bats beat them to actually doing it by thousands of years!

Golden scorpids: Of all the things to have gold plated, perhaps the worst is a scorpid, those things are bad tempered enough before you dip them in a vat of molten metal. We urge you not to place any of your hunter pets into molten metal for that matter, DEHTA will be right on your case should you do so, and it drasticly reduces pet happiness. Just wait for the "pimp my pet" feature, soon to come after "pimp my mount"!

Black bears: Ah the classic, especially for the dwarves, you put a 10 second video clip of a dwarf and a bear on the intro to wow and you get arrested for showing indecent images to minors... I tell you those dwarves are disgusting!

Ghostcrawler: There are many reasons to have your own personal ghostcrawler pet, mostly because you can give it treats when we get buffs and punish it when we get nerfs. I have an insider source that tells me that every effect done to these crabs ingame is actually felt 100 fold by the developer himself! On that note I also have a message for a certain draenei hunter, she knows who she is... "stop touching the crab there when I'm in meetings!" Love GC.

So why will these pets see a boost in popularity, well aside for the previously mentioned facts, they are all becomming minipets in the next patch! Style is everything and people love to have minipets and moutns that match thier in game pets, so kudos to blizzard for adding these to the game. Oh and one other things blizzard... a durotar scorpid is actually a yellow scorpid, not a golden one, golden ones are found in desolace and silithus, not really that close to durotar, at least you hit the right continent I suppose...


On the note of foo fighters, I love "my hero" been listening to it a lot recently, then again I've also been listening to Lily allens latest album a lot, so I'm not sure I'm the best choice for musical taste!

A Meme about... me?

So I've been given the honest weblog award... apparently... though the post man has probably given it to next door, still I'm sure it will turn up eventually... And I have to say there was never a more deserving person of an honesty award, after all everything I say is absolute truth, and as for my benefactor, might I say that I in no way hold Sevei's faction against him *cough*

The basic thing about this award, I have to say 10 honest things about myself... so without further waffling I present Lienna:- the truth!

1) I'm considering breaking up with the sheep-haired loverboy over a few little details he omitted from telling me until recently, the major one being that his ex girlfriend is due to give birth to his second child with her, I mean they have split up, but that still feels wrong...

2) I suck at remembering to do washing up and will sometimes wear yesterdays bra just because I'm in a hurry and can't find a clean one (Not often I hesitate to add).

3) In real life I'm shy, quiet and tubby, in wow I play a blood elf... think that's enough about that.

4) I'm a natural brunette and have never dyed my hair, to go with that I'm also pale, a little freckly and I never tan.

5) The furthest I've ever been from England (my country of birth) is Switzerland, I absolutely loved it there.

6) I used to have a lop-eared white rabbit, whom I took for walks in the park on a rabbit leash, he liked to nibble on the plants there. I was so cute it made people vomit.

7) I'm 22 and will finish college in around 2 months time, I'll then be going onto uni when I'm 23, a mere 5 years older than people who went through education the standard way.

8)I don't put out on the first date, I rarely even kiss on the first date, in fact its fair to say that I rarely even have a first date.

9) I watched the movie "50 first dates" on Sunday, the ending was so perfect I cried!

10) I really don't like talking about myself and I've cut about 6 things out of this list of 10 before reaching the end.
